The growth of the film and TV production industry in the Thames Valley witnessed over the past 18 months has resulted in the region being almost reclassified from the UK’s Silicon Valley to the UK’s Cine Valley.
With up to 5 million sqft of new film and TV production studios currently under construction, the region will soon have facilities to rival the US (Hollywood) and India (Bollywood).
This of course is not just good news for the region from a commercial property perspective with demand for related offices and industrial space driven by uses associated with the film industry but also for employment prospects and residential property values.
